I have had the pleasure of working with Jeimy Rodriguez on the creative elements for the Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States Internal Medicine Residency Program over the past five months. Throughout my career, I have worked with many designers on a range of different projects, so I definitely know the difference between average and superior work – and Jeimy has consistently exceeded expectations. Jeimy has done a fantastic job of leading the design efforts for this extremely important program – she knows how to effectively balance the features of the design with the objectives of the specific piece, all while maintaining the Kaiser Permanente brand guidelines and standards. I have been constantly impressed with the pieces that Jeimy has delivered.

On top of her superior work quality, Jeimy is extremely professional. She responds to constructive feedback in a productive and positive way, which is a welcome quality of a designer. Jeimy is responsive and dependable – I have never once felt concerned with our timelines, despite knowing we were up against some pretty tight turnaround times.

Jeimy has been an integral part of the residency program team and I know that she is a positive force on the design team in general.

Jeimy has been a pleasure to work with over the past few years. She was responsible for the redesign of our new brochure that we go to market with during open season, and again year round at New Hire Orientations (NEOs). Both open season and NEOs are the lifeblood of our membership growth and having materials that stand out in the market give us a competitive advantage. The new brochure transitioned from a traditional portrait orientation book with standard pages, to a landscape format that utilized tabs to make sections (plans, care, access, etc.) easier to find. This helps both prospects and members find the information they need quickly, but it also helps our Thrive Ambassadors who support our line of business in the field. I have 4 account managers on my team, so including myself we have 5 people that can be in the field at any one time. During open season, we have approximately 225 agency events in a 5 week period. We rely heavily on Thrive Ambassadors for these meetings and the feedback has consistently been that this new brochure makes them much more effective in finding our plan information and informing meeting attendees.

Additionally, we host a Fed Forum for our health benefit officers (HBOs, the Federal equivalent of HR reps) where we inform them of our upcoming rates and benefits for the year. This year we held it at Nationals Park and Jeimy designed a fantastic save the date invitation that looked like a baseball ticket, and was very unique and fun for us. She also helped put together an ad hoc KP value prop brochure that we used for the Defense Health Agency. We are currently working with the Defense Health Agency on military health, and this piece was crucial to giving both leadership and rank and file employees a solid overview on how Kaiser works and how easy it would be for them as it’s a similar system to their existing Tricare benefit.

I came to know Jeimy through her phenomenal work in designing the materials and the website for the first ever graduate medical education program in our KP region. She easily embodied the vision for the program in her output which impressed the residency promotion committee.
 
Jeimy has also been a true professional. She has been attentive to our needs, responded quickly to our questions, and delivered design solutions in a timely manner. She understands our goals and stayed within its parameters while also staying true to Kaiser Permanente brand guidelines. This allowed the program to meet our strategic timeline which maximizes the number of potential candidates applying to this new residency program.
 
Lastly, Jeimy has the ability to quickly build rapport in her interactions. I have personally observed this during the photoshoot for the residency website. She has a very pleasant personality and I am confident that she will thrive in this culture of collaboration in our organization.

Jeimy is an extremely talented and motivated Creative Director and Designer. We worked together to develop and build the Voyce brand and marketing materials, and every day was a pleasure to work with Jeimy. She is very thoughtful in her approach, taking the comprehensive experience into consideration with each piece of material (whether it be print ads, tradeshow booths, digital materials, printed marketing materials…the list goes on). She is diligent about ensuring that the visual language used in every piece she creates is aligned with the brand tone and guidelines (which she also created). She listens intently to business goals and creates practical and beautiful solutions to meet them. Her designs are stunning and impactful, and every piece Jeimy created exceeded expectations.

I was so thankful to have Jeimy on the marketing team at Voyce. I highly recommend Jeimy for any creative project or position. I hope to have the pleasure of working with her again in the future.
